Notice of Public Hearing for Advanced Technology Education Park Advantech Corporation’s North American Campus Approval of Grant of Easement Agreement with Southern California Edison Company NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District (“SOCCCD” or “District”) will hold Public Hearings at the SOCCCD Ronald Reagan Board of Trustees Room, Room 145 – Health Sciences/District Offices Building, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, 92692 on April 27, 2026, at or around 6:30 PM, to consider the subject project described below:From: Ann-Marie Gabel, Vice Chancellor, SOCCCD agabel@socccd.eduSOCCCD, 28000 Marguerite Parkway 3rd Floor, Mission Viejo, CA 92692Project Title: Advanced Technology and Education Park (ATEP) Advantech Corporation’s North American Campus Site Utilities/Grant of Easement to Southern California Edison Company (SCE)Project Description: The purpose of the hearing is to consider approval of Grant of Easement agreement with SCE which will allow each to construct, reconstruct, maintain, replace, inspect, and operate their respective utilities.Project Location: The Project site is located at 1602/1606 Victory Road in the City of Tustin.The District, acting by and through its Governing Board (Board), will hold a public hearing to determine whether or not to enter into the proposed Grant of Easement Agreement with SCE upon the terms and conditions set forth therein or upon such other terms as the Board may determine to be in the best interests of the District. The easements will allow SCE to construct, use, maintain, operate, alter, add to, repair, replace, reconstruct, inspect, and remove at any time and from time to time underground electrical supply systems and communication systems (hereinafter referred to as “systems”), consisting of wires, underground conduits, cables, vaults, manholes, handholes, and including above-ground enclosures, markers and concrete pads and other appurtenant fixtures and equipment necessary or useful for distributing electrical energy and for transmitting intelligence, data and/or communications (eg. through fiber optic cable), in, on, over, under, across and along that certain real property in the County of Orange, State of California at ATEP’s Advantech Campus.Those wishing to comment on the Project may either appear in person at the public hearing or submit written comments, which must be received by the District prior to the hearing.
