NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – MAY 26, 2026 STRATEGIC PLAN FOR 2024-2028 The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA), a division of the Ventura County Human Services Agency (HSA), will hold a public hearing on May 26, 2026, at 9 a.m., both in-person (HSA Administration building, Pepper Tree room, 855 Partridge Drive, Ventura) and via Zoom – https://www.zoomgov.com/j/1613771666 (meeting ID 161 377 1666, passcode 708511) – to receive public comments on the Strategic Plan for 2024-2028, specifically services proposed to be provided in FY 2026-2027 (July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027). The strategies and services have been developed to address some of the more critical needs of Ventura County residents aged 60 and older, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. The Strategic Plan will be available on the VCAAA's website, VCAAA.VenturaCounty.gov, on April 26, 2026. The provision of all programs and services is contingent upon the availability of federal and state funds; and those amounts are unknown at this time. Thus, proposed activities are subject to change. Persons requiring either Spanish interpretation, or special assistance to participate in the hearing per the Americans with Disabilities Act, are asked to notify Alisa Sanchez via email at Alisa.Sanchez@venturacounty.gov or by phone at 805-477-7315, on or before 4 p.m. on May 20, 2026, to make reasonable accommodations. The public may also submit written comments via e-mail to Alisa.Sanchez@venturacounty.gov. Written comments must be received by 8 a.m. on May 26, 2026. HSA and VCAAA shall review and consider input received at the public hearing and may make changes accordingly in the final document.
