LOCATION: Council Chamber, 501 Poli Street, Ventura, CA 93003 To join the meeting virtually, click on the URL on the posted agenda (https://www.cityofventura.ca.gov/AgendaCenter). Joining the meeting will allow all virtually attendees to provide live comments and express opinions. The meeting will also be streamed live at https://www.cityofventura.ca.gov/718/Videos, YouTube at https://www.YouTube.com/cityofventura/live, or on Cable TV – Channel 15. Project: PROJ-25-25-0992 & PROJ-25-0784 Case: OA-01-26-0025 & OA-02-25-0012 PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is for the City Council to adopt an Ordinance Amendment authorized by City of San Buenaventura Municipal Code (SMBC) Section 24.540, establishing a ministerial review process for new residential projects. This process fulfills the City’s 6th Cycle Housing Element (HE) Implementation Programs 28 and 15. This amendment creates new sections and amends others in Title 24 – Zoning Regulations and Division 24 in the Coastal Zoning Code of the Municipal Code to support affordable housing development and compliance with state law.
