CITY OF MIRAMAR NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that on March 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., the City Commission of the City of Miramar will hold a virtual and/or in person Public Hearing to consider the proposed ordinance listed below and at which time interested parties may be heard. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available online at https://miramar.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx . The following proposed ordinance will be discussed: SECOND READING of an Ordinance of the City of Miramar, Florida, amending the Land Development Code of the City of Miramar, pursuant to Section 302 of said Land Development Code and Section 166.041(3)(C)(2), Florida Statutes; more specifically by amending Chapter 5, entitled Standards, to update Section 506, entitled Landscaping Standards, to provide for guidelines for Homeowner Association Tree Mitigation, provide mechanism to comply with the Citys Land Development Code while ensuring infrastructure is not compromised, clarifying requirements and approval processes, and providing for prorated fees; making findings; providing for repeal; providing for severability; providing for correction of scriveners errors; providing for codification; and providing for an effective date. (Passed First Reading on 02/11/26) If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
