CITY OF MIRAMAR PUBLIC NOTICE IFB 26-020 WASTEWATER RECLAMATION FACILITY PROCESS DRAIN & SUCTION VALVE REPLACEMENT PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK: The City of Miramar, Utilities Department is soliciting Invitation for Bids for the removal and replacement of one (1) 12-inch and two (2) 18-inch mechanical joint plug valves. The 12-inch valve replacement is for the draining of Aeration Basin #2, which periodically needs to be taken out of service for cleaning and maintenance. The two (2) 18-inch process suction valve replacements are for the isolation of Clarifiers #1 & #2. While the Utilities Department possesses sufficient resources to address most of the Citys routine maintenance needs, there are instances where additional expertise, equipment, and specialized labor are required. In such cases, the City must rely on external contractors to ensure that repairs and enhancements are carried out efficiently, safely, and in strict compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines.
