CITY OF BRADENTON, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Bradenton City Council will meet in regular session on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. in City Council Chambers, 101 Old Main Street, Bradenton to consider the following items at a public hearing: 1. ORDINANCE NO. 4066 (Second Reading and Public Hearing): AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BRADENTON, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR TEXT AMENDMENTS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN RELATED TO COASTAL DEVELOPMENT; AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT, POLICY 1.2.1 AND OMITTING POLICY 1.2.2 ADDRESSING LAND USE AND DENSITY IN THE COASTAL HIGH HAZARD AREA; PROVIDING FOR APPLICABILITY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 2. ORDINANCE NO. 4069 (First Reading): AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BRADENTON, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF BRADENTON LAND USE REGULATIONS AND FORM BASED CODE TO ESTABLISH A PROCESS FOR THE REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF CERTIFIED RECOVERY RESIDENCES AND FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF REQUESTS FOR REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS FROM LOCAL LAND USE REGULATIONS AS MANDATED BY SECTION 397.487, FLORIDA STATUTES; AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE LAND USE REGULATIONS TO CREATE A NEW SECTION 4.3.15 RELATING TO CERTIFIED RECOVERY RESIDENCES; AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE LAND USE REGULATIONS RELATING TO DEFINITIONS; AMENDING ARTICLE 12 OF THE FORM BASED CODE RELATING TO DEFINITIONS; AMENDING ARTICLE 4, TABLE 4.7 OF THE FORM BASED CODE RELATING TO SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND USES WITHIN TRANSECT ZONES; AMENDING CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4.3.6 OF THE LAND USE REGULATIONS RELATING TO GROUP CARE HOMES AND GROUP CARE FACILITIES; AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 3.2 OF THE LAND USE REGULATIONS RELATING TO STANDARD LAND USE ATLAS DISTRICT REGULATIONS; AMENDING CHAPTER 3, TABLE 3.2.1.1 OF THE LAND USE REGULATIONS RELATING TO RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS/PERMITTED USES AND SPECIAL USES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. All interested persons and parties may appear either in person and be heard or submit written comments regarding the above matter to the Planning and Community Development Director and they will be heard and considered. The hearing may be continued from time to time as necessary.
