CITY OF BRADENTON, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: PROPOSED ORDINANCE 4075 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BRADENTON, FLORIDA, AMENDING PART 1, CHARTER AND RELATED LAWS, SUBPART B, RELATED LAWS, ARTICLE III, FIREFIGHTERS' RETIREMENT SYSTEM, OF THE CITY OF BRADENTON, FLORIDA; AMENDING SECTION 1, DEFINITIONS, TO EXCLUDE CONTRACTED SPECIAL DETAILS FROM THE DEFINITION OF SALARY; AMENDING SECTION 5 (1), CONTRIBUTIONS, TO LOWER THE EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTION TO 9% EFFECTIVE UPON RATIFICATION, TO 8% EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2026 AND TO 7% EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2027; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR A REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. will be considered at the regular meeting of the Bradenton City Council to be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall, 101 Old Main Street, Bradenton, Florida 34205.
