Notice of Public Hearing For VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION To the City of CALLAWAY, FLORIDA
THE CITY OF CALLAWAY HAS RECEIVED A PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION FOR PARCEL IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS: 06617-015-000, 06617-040-000, 06642-000-000, 06644-000-000, 06645-000-000 AND PARTIAL 06700-000-000.
The City of Callaway City Commission will conduct a public meeting, hold the a reading of an ordinance, the title of which is set forth below, at the Callaway Arts & Conference Center located at 500 Callaway Park Way, Callaway, Florida 32404, on Tuesday March 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., CST, or as soon thereafter as the issue may be heard, to conduct the second and final reading and consider adoption of the Petition for Voluntary Annexation into the City of Callaway. The title of the ordinance to be considered is set forth below.

ORDINANCE NO. 1134
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF PARCEL ID NUMBERS. 06617-015-000, 06617-040-000, 06642-000-000, 06644-000-000, 06645-000-000 AND A PORTION OF ID NUMBER 06700-000-000; PROVIDING A LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE LANDS TO BE ANNEXED, MORE SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, AS PETITIONED BY THE PROPERTY OWNER PURSUANT TO SECTION 171.044, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR THE REDEFINING OF CITY BOUNDARIES TO INCLUDE SAID LANDS; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
At the public hearings, the City Commission will accept public testimony and will consider the Voluntary Annexation Petition. Copies of the Petition for Voluntary Annexation into the City of Callaway are available for public Inspection at the City of Callaway City Hall, located at. 6601 East Highway 22, Callaway, Florida 32404. The hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.
All persons wishing to be heard, please take notice and govern yourselves accordingly. You are further advised that if a person decides to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered at these proceedings, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
