Public Hearing of the
City of Callaway City Commission
The City of Callaway City Commission will conduct a public meeting, hold a second and final reading of an ordinance, the title of which is set forth below, at the Callaway Arts & Conference Center located at 500 Callaway Park Way, Callaway, Florida 32404, on Tuesday March 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., CST, or as soon thereafter as the issue may be heard, to consider the addition of the Large Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the City of Callaway Comprehensive Plan. The title of the ordinance to be considered is set forth below.
ORDINANCE NO. 1135
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE CITY OF CALLAWAY, FLORIDA BY AND THROUGH PROCEDURES REQUIRED FOR LARGE-SCALE MAP AMENDMENTS PURSUIT TO AUTHORITY UNDER FLORIDA STATUES SECTION 163.3184, SPECIFICALLY CHANGING A PORTION OF ID NUMBERS: 06617-015-000, 06617-040-000, 06642-000-000, 06644-000-000, 06645-000-000 and PARTIAL ID NUMBER 06700-000-000 FROM BAY COUNTY CONSERVATION HABITATION AND BAY COUNTY AGRICULTURAL TIMBERLAND TO RESIDENTIAL, AND PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE..
At this hearing, the City Commission will accept public testimony and will consider the adoption of Large Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment to the appropriate state agencies for review and final comment. Copies of the Comprehensive Plan Amendments are available for public Inspection at the City of Callaway City Hall, located at. 6601 East Highway 22, Callaway, Florida 32404
The hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.
All persons wishing to be heard, please take notice and govern yourselves accordingly. You are further advised that if a person decides to appeal any decision with respect to any matter considered at these proceedings, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
