TO APPLY TO BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO VACATE AND CLOSE A
PORTION OF A PLATTED,
UNOPENED, UNMAINTAINED RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHIN
THE MAP OF LEISURE SHORES AND THE REVISED MAP OF
LAKE VIEW,
WINTER HAVEN, POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Polk County, Florida, upon Petition filed by Kelly L. Yudichak, will, at 9:00 a.m., or shortly thereafter, on the 2nd day of June, 2026, in the Board Room of the Polk County Administration Building, 330 West Church Street, Bartow, Florida, consider and determine whether or not the County will vacate, abandon, discontinue, and close a portion of a platted, unopened and unmaintained right-of-way within the maps of Leisure Shores and Revised Map of Lake View, Polk County, Florida, described as:
A parcel of land being a portion of a right-of-way labeled as Marianna Street on the REVISED MAP OF LAKE VIEW SUBDIVISION as depicted in Plat Book 3, Page 80, and LEISURE SHORES as depicted in Plat Book 46, Page 4, all of the Public Records of Polk County, Florida, lying in Section 07, Township 28 South, Range 26 East, Polk County, Florida, being more particularly described as follows: COMMENCE at the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Block 5 of said LEISURE SHORES, said point being on a curve concave northwesterly, having a radius of 1194.85 feet, a central angle of 030947, a chord bearing of North 215036 East, and a chord distance of 65.95 feet; thence northeasterly along the westerly line of said Lot 13, Block 5, and the arc of said curve 65.96 feet, to the northerly line of said Lot 13, Block 5 and the POINT OF BEGINNING, said point being the point of reverse curvature of a curve concave southeasterly having a radius of 25.00 feet, a central angle of 694228, a chord bearing of North 550656 East and a chord distance of 28.57 feet; thence northeasterly along said northerly line, and the arc of said curve 30.42 feet to the point of tangency; thence North 8958 10 East, along the north line of said Lot 13, Block 5, a distance of 135 feet, more or less, to the waters edge of Lake Hartridge; thence northeasterly along said waters edge, 66 feet, more or less, to the South line of Lot 5, Block D of said REVISED MAP OF LAKE VIEW SUBDIVISION; thence South 895810 West, along said south line, 179 feet, more or less to the northerly extension of said westerly line of Lot 13, Block 5, and a point on a curve concave northwesterly, having a radius of 1194.85 feet, a central angle of 032124, a chord bearing of South 183500 West, and a chord distance of 69.99 feet; thence southwesterly, along said northerly extension, and the arc of said curve 70.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
And renounce and disclaim any right of the County and the public in and to said right-of-way and the land in connection therewith. Persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place above specified.
Should any person decide to appeal any decision made by the Board at this meeting, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of these proceedings is made.
