The Polk Transportation Planning Organization(TPO) has sched- uled a public hearing for Thursday, June 11, 2026, during the TPO Board meeting at the Polk County Administration Building, Board Room, 330 W. Church St., Bartow, FL. The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the hearing may be heard.
The hearing will address proposed amendments to the Adopted Trans- portation Improvement Plan (TIP) for Fiscal Years 2025/26-2029/30 and the draft TIP for Fiscal Years 2026/27-2030/31. A 30-day public com- ment period is now open and will continue through June 11, 2026.
Written comments or to request a copy of the draft TIP may be submit- ted by email to polktpo@polkfl.gov or by mail to: Polk TPO, P.O. Box 9005, Drawer TS05, Bartow, FL 33831-9005. Comments may also be provided in person at the public hearing before the Board takes action.
The TPO planning process is conducted in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. Any person or benefi- ciary who believes they have been discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, or family status may file a complaint in writing to the TPO at the address above.
