CITY OF CEDAR KEY, FLORIDA PUBLIC NOTICE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) APPLICATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of Cedar Key, Florida, will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at City Hall, 809 6th Street, Cedar Key, Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comment and consider the submission of an application for funding under the Florida Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, administered by the Florida Department of Commerce. The City of Cedar Key proposes to apply for CDBG funding for the Cedar Key HARBOR Center Project, a flood-resilient economic continuity hub and community center. The proposed project is intended to strengthen disaster resilience, support economic recovery and continuity, and provide a centralized facility for community services, workforce support, and emergency operations during and after hazard events. The total estimated project cost, sources of funds, and proposed activities will be discussed at the public meeting. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and provide input regarding community development needs and the proposed project. For additional information concerning the public meeting or the proposed CDBG application, please contact the City Clerk at cityclerk@cedarkeyfl.us or by phone at City Hall.
