Public meeting to discuss CDBG application for Cedar Key HARBOR Center Project.

PUBLIC NOTICE 
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) APPLICATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of Cedar Key, Florida, will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at City Hall, 809 6th Street, Cedar Key, Florida.
The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comment and consider the submission of an application for funding under the Florida Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, administered by the Florida Department of Commerce.
The City of Cedar Key proposes to apply for CDBG funding for the Cedar Key HARBOR Center Project, a flood-resilient economic continuity hub and community center. The proposed project is intended to strengthen disaster resilience, support economic recovery and continuity, and provide a centralized facility for community services, workforce support, and emergency operations during and after hazard events.
The total estimated project cost, sources of funds, and proposed activities will be discussed at the public meeting. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and provide input regarding community development needs and the proposed project.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing a special accommodation to participate in this proceeding should contact City Hall at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
