STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE PERMIT The Department of Environmental Protection gives notice of its intent to issue a renewal of an existing operating permit to Aerojet Rocketdyne, Inc., 790 Fentress Blvd, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. This renewal permit authorizes the continued operation of a 0.00003 MGD industrial wastewater treatment facility that discharges a small volume (approximately 33 gallons per day) of once-through non-contact, non-process cooling tower water to two onsite retention ponds, with the slight potential to overflow through a series of ditches and conveyances and may eventually reach the Tomoka River during extreme storm events (e.g., a 100-year storm event). The facility is located at latitude 29o 12' 39" N, longitude 81o 05' 02" W at 790 Fentress Blvd, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 in Volusia County. The Department has assigned permit file number FL0A00018-004-IW6D to the proposed project. The intent to issue and application file are available for public inspection during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, at the Department's Central District Office, 3319 Maguire Blvd., Suite 232, Orlando, Florida 32803-3767, at phone number (407)897-4100. NOTICE OF RIGHTS The Department will issue the permit unless a petition for an administrative hearing is timely filed under Sections 120.569 and 120.57, F.S., before the deadline for filing a petition.
