NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning and Land Development Regulation Commission of Volusia County, Florida, will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 21, 2026, commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the Frank T. Bruno Jr. County Council Chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 West Indiana Avenue, Room 204, DeLand, Florida, for the purpose of hearing and deciding the following application(s) for Variance(s) from the Zo-ning Ordinance of Volusia County, Florida, to wit:
V-26-042 Application of John Far-rell, John Farrell Construction, LLC, agent for owner, requesting variances to separate nonconforming lots, to the minimum yard requirements, and to the accessory structure requirements on Prime Agriculture (A-1) zoned property. The property is located at 5883 Lake Winona Road, DeLeon Springs; Par-cel Number: 5936-01-00-0120; +/- 2.68 acres.
V-26-049 Application of Richard Wentworth, owner, requesting variances to the minimum yard requirements on Prime Agriculture (A-1) zoned property. The property is located at 551 Spring Hill Court, Osteen; Parcel Number: 9307-01-11-0250; +/- 0.26 acres.
V-26-050 Application of William Chase, Chase Restoration, agent for owner, requesting a variance to the maximum fence height requirements on Rural Residential (RR) zoned property. The property is located at 2111 Hontoon Road, DeLand; Parcel Number: 7925-03-00-0030; +/- 4.06 acres.
V-26-054 Application of Jeffrey Brock, Smith Bigman, Brock, P.A., agent for owner, requesting variances to the minimum yard requirements on Urban Single-Family Residential (R-3) zoned property. The property is located at 3216 John Anderson Drive, Ormond Beach; Parcel Number: 3216-00-04-0024; +/- 10,258 square feet.
The application(s) may be inspec-ted by the public at the GROWTH AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, 2nd FLOOR, THOMAS C. KELLY ADMINISTRATION CENTER, 123 WEST INDIANA AVENUE, DE-LAND, FLORIDA. Interested parties may appear at the hearing and be heard. This hearing may be continued to one or more dates. The dates, times, and places of any continuation of the above scheduled public hearing will be an-nounced at said public hearing and no further notice regarding said continuation is required to be published. If anyone decides to appeal any decision made by the Volusia County Planning and Land Development Regulation Commission with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, he or she will need a record of the pro-ceedings, including all testimony and evidence, upon which the appeal is to be based. To that end, such person will want to ensure that verbatim record of the pro-ceedings is made. In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), the County of Volusia (County) will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.
