CHANGE OF ZONING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the County Council of Volusia County, Florida, will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, commencing at 4:00 p.m. in the Frank T. Bruno, Jr. County Council Chambers of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 West Indiana Avenue, Room 204, DeLand, Florida. The proposed resolution is entitled:
RESOLUTION 2026-XX
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING PUD-25-005 AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED PROPERTY FROM THE GENERAL COMMERCIAL (B-4) AND TRANSITIONAL AGRICULTURE (A-3) TO A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) WITH A BUSINESS (B) SUB-CLASSIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
This resolution is being considered pursuant to an application PUD-25-005 filed by Mark Watts, Esq., Cobb Cole, Attorneys at Law, agent for Strategic Pathfinders Group, LLC, owner, requesting rezoning from General Commercial (B-4) and Transitional Agriculture (A-3) to a Planned Unit Development (PUD) with a Business (B) sub-classification. The property is located at 1915, 1949 and 1971 Old New York Avenue, DeLand; Parcel Number(s): 7913-00-00-0050, 7913-01-00-0010 and 7913-01-00-0020; +/- 2.32 acres. The application(s) may be inspected by the public at the GROWTH AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, 2ND FLOOR, THOMAS C. KELLY ADMINISTRATION CENTER, 123 WEST INDIANA AVENUE, DELAND, FLORIDA. Interested parties may appear at the hearing and be heard. This hearing may be continued to one or more dates. The dates, times, and places of any continuation of the above scheduled public hearing will be announced at said public hearing and no further notice regarding said continuation is required to be published. If anyone decides to appeal any decision made by the Volusia County Planning and Land Development Regulation Commission with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, including all testimony and evidence, upon which the appeal is to be based. To that end, such person will want to ensure that verbatim record of the proceedings is made. In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), the County of Volusia (County) will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the County, should contact the office of the Countys ADA Coordinator, James Corbett, at (386) 248-1760 as soon as possible but no later than two business days before the scheduled event or meeting. This paragraph shall likewise apply to written requests by a physically handicapped person needing a special accommodation to attend a public meeting in accordance with section 286.26, Florida Statutes.
