TOWN OF HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FLORIDA

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO THE USE OF LAND; PROVIDING FINDINGS; AMENDING SUBSECTION 5.01.07(D) OF THE TOWNS LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, RELATING TO CHAIN LINK FENCING IN RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICTS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that the Town of Howey-in-the-Hills Planning and Zoning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be considered) in the Town Council Chambers, Town Hall, 101 N. Palm Ave, Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida 34737 to consider the proposed Ordinance.
You may either be present in person at this Public Hearing, represented by counsel, or letter. All interested persons take due notice of the time and place of this Public Hearing and govern yourselves accordingly.
Copies of Ordinance 2026-003 are available in the Town Clerks Office, 101 N. Palm Ave., Howey-in-the-Hills, FL 34737 for inspection during normal business hours of Mon-Thurs 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) anyone who needs a special accommodation for this meeting should contact the Town Clerk at least 48 hours before the meeting.
Any person who decides to appeal any decision of the Planning and Zoning Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceeding, and for such purposes, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made which includes testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based per Section 286.0105 of the Florida Statutes.
