VILLAGE OF INDIANTOWN NOTICE OF JOINT WORKSHOP COMPREHENSIVE PLAN EVALUATION APPRAISAL AMENDMENT PROCESS The Village of Indiantown hereby gives notice that it will hold a public Joint Workshop of the Village Council and the Planning, Zoning, and Appeals Board on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the Community Room at the Elisabeth Lahti Library, 15200 E. Thelma Waters Avenue, Indiantown, Florida 34956 to consider the following agenda item: COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WORKSHOP The Village of Indiantown is required by state law to review its Comprehensive Plan at least once every seven (7) years to determine whether amendments are necessary to comply with changes in state laws and changes in local conditions. The Village has determined that such amendments are necessary and additionally proposes to adopt a new Economic Development Element to the Plan. This workshop provides the Village Council; the Planning, Zoning, and Appeals Board; and members of the public the opportunity to review the current draft Comprehensive Plan amendments and provide feedback prior to formal public hearings. Input from this workshop will inform the final ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Plan, pursuant to PZAB recommendations and Village Council approval. All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Written comments may be submitted to Deanna Freeman, CED Director, P.O. Box 398, Indiantown, FL 34956. Copies of all documents pertaining to the workshop are available in the Community & Economic Development Department, located at Village Hall, temporarily located at the Bob Souza Center, 15655 SW Osceola Street, Indiantown, Florida 34956, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans With Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this workshop, because of a disability or physical impairment, should contact the Village Clerks Office at (772) 597-8294 at least three (3) business days prior to the workshop.
