Notice is hereby given that the Melbourne City Council, Brevard County, Florida intends to adopt the following ordinances:
ORDINANCE NO. 2026-22
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE CONTRACTION OF JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES FOR THE MAYFAIR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; MAKING FINDINGS; AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE CITY CODE, ENTITLED COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT; AMENDING ARTICLE IX, MAYFAIR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND INTERPRETATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING AN ADOPTION SCHEDULE. ORDINANCE NO. 2026-23
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT; MAKING FINDINGS; AMENDING APPENDIX B OF THE CITY CODE, ENTITLED ZONING; AMENDING ARTICLE V, DISTRICT REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND INTERPRETATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING AN ADOPTION SCHEDULE. The ordinances will be considered for adoption by the City Council at its May 26, 2026 meeting in the Council Chamber, Melbourne City Hall, 900 E. Strawbridge Avenue, Melbourne. The City Council meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Contact the City Clerk if you would like to inspect a copy of any of the ordinances. Interested parties may appear at this meeting and be heard with respect to the adoption of the ordinances. Written comments may be submitted at or before the meeting. Address correspondence to the City Clerk, 900 East Strawbridge Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32901, or e-mail city.clerk@mlbfl.org. The public hearings may be continued from time to time.
Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, the City hereby advises the public that: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Council with respect to any matter considered at its meeting or hearing, he will need a record of the proceedings, and that for such purpose, affected persons may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
