YOU ARE HEREBY notified that the Punta Gorda City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, to consider the following application:
ZA-01-2026  An Ordinance of the City of Punta Gorda, Florida, Amending Chapter 26, Punta Gorda Code, the City of Punta Gorda Land Development Regulations, to establish procedures for the review and approval of certified recovery residences and a process for requesting reasonable accommodations from local land use regulations as mandated by Florida law, including Section 397.487(15)(a), Florida Statutes; Amending Article 3, Section 3.5(c) GM, General Multi-Family Residential District  Uses Permitted with Conditions; Amending Article 3, Section 3.7(c) NR, Neighborhood Residential District  Uses with Conditions; Amending Article 4 to adopt a new section 4.42; Providing for implementation of administrative actions; Providing savings clause; Providing for codification and scriveners errors; Providing for severability; Proving for conflicts; and providing an effective date

A copy of this notice and the associated public hearing documents are available for inspection at the Office of the City Clerk located at 117 Herald Court, Unit 211, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
