Approval of Closed Session / Closed SessionDirector Hanson moved, and Director Michaelson seconded the motion to go into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code section 21.5(1)(i) to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual's reputation and that individual requests a closed session.A roll call vote was made. Motion carried 7-0 with Directors Ehmcke, Hanson, Lee, Meyers, Michaelson, Miller, and Supiot voting in favor of the motion. The Board went into closed session at 1:36 p.m.Director Miller left the meeting via phone while the Board was in closed session.V. Adjourn Closed Session/ Return to Open SessionDirector Hanson moved, and Director Ehmcke seconded the motion to exit closed session. Motion carried 6-0 and the Board returned to open session at 6:13 p.m.VI. Items of Presentation, Discussion, and/or ActionPresident Lee shared that the Board engaged in a comprehensive, thoughtful, and thorough process regarding the finalists. She announced that they have reached the decision not to extend an offer at this time.VII. AdjournDirector Meyers moved, and Director Hanson seconded the motion to adjourn the special meeting.
