Announcement: Bidding Opportunity & Event The NJEDA / NJDEP along with AECOM Tishman are in search of qualified contractors to bid on the Historic Train Shed Restoration at Liberty State Park, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. The bidding is scheduled to start April 2026 and work commences July 2026. The NJEDA / NJDEP and AECOM Tishman will be hosting a Bidding Opportunity Event on April 29, 2026 at 10:00 am at the site (1 Audrey Zapp Dr, Jersey City, NJ 07305) Contractors must have minimum experience of five (5) projects of similar size. The minimum project value of previous experience should be at least $25,000. The project scope includes but is not limited to: remediation, demolition, historic renovation/preservation, structural steel remediation, electrical, plumbing, storm water management, landscape/hardscape and handling of potentially hazardous materials. Please note that there are diversity requirements for this project and bidders must be able to meet the project's SBE, MWVBE and DVOB participation goals as follows: MWVBE (15%) SBE (25%) DVBE (3%) Details on the qualification process and bidding will be distributed to interested bidders in April 2026 and at the event. Local workforce and companies based in Jersey City are encouraged to participate in the bidding and construction efforts.
