IFB NO. 26-S-009 Electrical Work The Newark Housing Authority (NHA) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide all necessary labor, materials, tools and equipment for maintenance, repair, replacement, refurbishment, installation, inspection and certification of electrical and other related systems at various projects of the Authority on an as needed basis. The NHA owns, operates and maintains approximately 7,500 units of public housing for low-income tenants consisting of high-rise family and elderly complexes as well as low rise and townhouse projects. Approximately 6,500 units of this housing stock is occupied with the remaining vacant units scheduled for either renovation, major rehabilitation, or demolition/replacement of suitable new units. The NHA has thirty-seven (37) housing projects. Twelve (12) of these are designated as elderly housing, eight (8) are low rise sites, and eleven (17) are townhouse complexes. This IFB aims to identify one or more qualified contractors who can deliver exceptional service while maximizing operational efficiency and property value.
