TOWN OF VIRGIL NOTICE OF MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VIRGIL ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting and public hearing will be held by the Town of Virgil Zoning Board of Appeals on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Virgil Town Hall, 1176 Church Street, Virgil, New York 13045. The public hearing will be held to consider the following applications: 1. Applicant Howard Archambo, with property owner Shannon Howitt, is requesting a use variance to operate a retail business involving the sale of aluminum statues on the subject property. A use variance is required because the proposed retail use is not listed as a permitted use in the Agricultural Residential Conservation District under the Town of Virgil Zoning Law. The property is located at 2193 South Cortland–Virgil Road, Town of Virgil, New York, and is identified as Tax Map No. 126.00-03-19.000. 1. Applicant Francis Loiacono is requesting an area variance to construct a 30’x24’ detached garage in the subject parcel front yard.
