NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN OF CAZENOVIA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law and Town Law, there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Cazenovia, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on March 9, 2026, proposed Local Law No. B-2026, titled, “A Local Law to Amend Chapter 165 (“Zoning”) of the Code of the Town of Cazenovia with Respect to Lakefront Properties.” Said Local Law, if enacted, will provide clarification with respect to allowable surface impervious coverages within the Critical Environmental Area zone of Cazenovia Lake to provide a fair opportunity for property owners to enjoy their property, while at the same time preserving the integrity of the Lake Watershed and the Lake itself. The full text of said Local Law is on file at the Town Clerk’s Office at the Town Offices located at 7 Albany Street in the Town of Cazenovia for inspection by all interested persons.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on March 9, 2026, the Town Board determined that this proposed Local Law is a Type I Action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act and a negative declaration was adopted at that time.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law at the Town of Cazenovia Offices located at 7 Albany Street in the Town of Cazenovia on April 13, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard.
