LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Livingston County will hold a public hearing on June 10, 2026 at 1:35pm in the Board of Supervisors Assembly Room, Livingston County Government Center, 6 Court Street, Third Floor, Geneseo, NY for the purpose of hearing public comments on community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2026 program year. The NYS CDBG program is administered by the New York State Homes and Community Renewal and will make available to eligible local governments approximately $45 million in funding for the current program year for housing, public infrastructure, public facilities, economic development, imminent threat, and community planning, with the principal purpose of benefiting low- and moderate-income persons. Livingston County anticipates applying for $1,000,000 in CDBG funds to assist for-profit businesses undertake projects that will result in the creation or retention of permanent jobs principally benefiting low- and moderate-income persons. The hearing will provide CDBG program information and accept public input on proposed grant applications and alternative project ideas.
