Wadsworth Library

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Election and Budget Vote of the residents of the Geneseo Central School District, as taxpayers for Wadsworth Library, will be held at said library, 24 Center Street, Geneseo, NY, in said district, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 8:00 am EDT, for the transaction of such business as is authorized by Education Law.

And notice is also given that a Public Hearing of the qualified voters of the Wadsworth Library, Geneseo, NY will be on May 5, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the library , for the presentation of the budget document for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

And notice is also given that a copy of the statement of the amount of money that will be required for the ensuing year for public library purposes may be obtained by any taxpayer in the district during the seven days immediately preceding the annual meeting, except Sunday or a holiday, at Wadsworth Library during regular hours of operation.

And notice is also given that the following vacancies are to be filled on the Board of Trustees: two 3-year terms and one 2-year term beginning July 1, 2026. The candidate for trustee are James McLean.

And notice is also given that the application for absentee ballots for the election of board members may be applied for at the library, that a list of all persons to whom absentee ballots have been issued will be available in the library on each of the five days preceding the election, except Sunday or a holiday, and that such list will also be posted at the polling place on the day of the election.

Voting on the election of three trustees and the appropriation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm in Wadsworth Library.
