NOTICE TO RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC CUSTOMERS 

Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation (“CHG&E”) is providing notice that, pursuant to a New York State Department of Public Service Commission Order in Case 24-M-0586, issued and effective March 19, 2026, its tariff for electric service, PSC No. 15, will be revised to provide expanded protections to residential customers during periods of extreme heat.

Effective June 1, 2026, in accordance with its revised tariff, CHG&E will temporarily halt electric service terminations for residential customers and residential end-use customers when the heat index is forecasted to be or actually is 90°F or higher as reported by the National Weather Service in the customer’s area. Also pursuant to the revised tariff, in certain designated high heat (“heat island”) areas, service terminations will also be suspended for two additional days. The revised tariff will be available on CentralHudson.com and on the New York State Public Service Commission’s website.
