MIDDLETOWN-HARDENBURGH FIRE DISTRICT PUBLIC NOTICE Board of Fire Commissioners of the Middletown-Hardenburgh Fire District at the April 20 th , 2026 meeting passed the following resolution: “ BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Middletown-Hardenburgh Fire District does hereby agree for Treasurer to transfer from the equipment reserve fund to the general fund an amount not to exceed Ninety thousand ($100,000) for the purpose of purchasing new Air Packs for the Margaretville Fire Department members. Please take further notice this resolution is subject to permissive referendum and shall take effect 60 days after its adoption, unless there shall be filed in the interim with the Fire District Secretary a petition signed and acknowledged or approved in the same manner as a deed to be recorded by resident taxpayers of the Middletown-Hardenburgh Fire District owning taxable real property aggregating at least one-quarter of the assessed valuation of all taxable real property of the Fire District, as such valuations appear on the latest completed assessment roll of the Town of Middletown and the Town of Hardenburgh protesting against such resolution and requesting that it be submitted to the qualified electors of the Fire District for approval.
