LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING, ANNUAL MEETING, BUDGET VOTE AND ELECTION CLARKSTOWN CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ROCKLAND COUNTY, NEW YORK MAY 19, 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING of the qualified voters of the Clarkstown Central School District, Rockland County, New City, New York, will be held at Clarkstown High School South in said District, and will also be available for viewing (live) on the CCSD website at https://www.ccsd.edu/boestream, on May 7, 2026 at 7:30 p.m., prevailing time, for the purpose of discussing expenditures contained in the proposed budget for the ensuing school year, 2026-2027. Copies of the budget document will be made available to District residents commencing April 30, 2026 upon request, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Office of the District Clerk at the Chestnut Grove District Offices or electronically by emailing the District Clerk at districtclerk@ccsd.edu. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Meeting, Budget Vote, and Election of the qualified voters of the Clarkstown Central School District, County of Rockland, State of New York, qualified to vote at a School Meetings in said District, will be held in the following locations on May 19, 2026, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., prevailing time: 1. The voting place of Election District No. 1 shall be STREET SCHOOL COMMUNITY CENTER, 31 Zukor Road, New City, NY. 2. The voting place of Election District No. 2 shall be CONGERS COMMUNITY CENTER, 8 Gilchrest Road, Congers, NY. 3. The voting place of Election District No. 3 is CHESTNUT GROVE ADMINISTRATIVE CENTER, 62 Old Middletown Road, New City, NY. 4. The voting place of Election District No. 4 is ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI PARISH CENTER, 128 Parrott Road, West Nyack, NY. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the polling places listed above remain unchanged. However, as a result of revisions to the School District’s election district boundaries, some voters may be assigned to a different polling location than in prior years. Poll Site 1: Street School Community Center — Northern Clarkstown Beginning on the Haverstraw–Clarkstown town line near South Mountain Road; then east along the town line to NY 304; then south along NY 304 and Lake DeForest to central New City (shared boundary with Poll Site 2); then west from Lake DeForest, passing Westerly Drive, to NY 304 and South Main Street (shared boundary with Poll Site 4); then west along New Hempstead Road (CR 80), crossing North Little Tor Road, to the Palisades Interstate Parkway (shared boundary with Poll Site 3); then north along the Palisades Interstate Parkway and the district boundary to the Haverstraw town line and the point of beginning. Poll Site 2: Congers Community Center — Eastern Clarkstown Beginning on the Haverstraw–Clarkstown town line at NY 304; then east along the town line to the Hudson River; then south along the Hudson River to the school district boundary near Upper Nyack; then west along the district boundary to NY 304; then north along NY 304 and Lake DeForest to the Haverstraw town line and the point of beginning (shared boundary with Poll Site 1 along the entire western edge). Poll Site 3: Chestnut Grove Administrative Center — Western Clarkstown Beginning at the Palisades Interstate Parkway at New Hempstead Road (CR 80) (shared boundary with Poll Site 1); then east along New Hempstead Road (CR 80), crossing North Little Tor Road, to NY 304 and South Main Street (shared boundary with Poll Site 1); then south along the corridor between South Main Street and the Palisades Interstate Parkway to the district boundary (shared boundary with Poll Site 4); then west along the district boundary to the Clarkstown–Ramapo town line; then north along the Ramapo town line and the Palisades Interstate Parkway to New Hempstead Road (CR 80) and the point of beginning. Poll Site 4: St. Francis of Assisi Parish Center — Southern Clarkstown Beginning at NY 304 and South Main Street in central New City (shared boundary with Poll Sites 1 and 3); then east, passing Westerly Drive, to Lake DeForest (shared boundary with Poll Site 1); then south along the eastern district boundary; then west along the southern district boundary; then north along the corridor between the Palisades Interstate Parkway and South Main Street to NY 304 and South Main Street in central New City and the point of beginning (shared boundary with Poll Site 3 along the western edge). The polls will be opened to vote upon the following separate matters: 1. The estimated expenditures (school budget) for the ensuing school year (2026-2027) and authorizing the levy and collection of necessary taxes thereof (Proposition 1). 2. Any other questions or propositions as to matters of expenditures or authority to levy taxes that may be presented for a vote under the Education Law. 3. Election of two (2) members of the Board of Education for a three (3) year term commencing on July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2029. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that petitions nominating candidates for the office of member of the Board of Education, shall be filed with the Clerk of the District Not Later Than Monday, April 20, 2026 At 5:00 p.m. whose office is located in the Chestnut Grove District Offices. Vacancies on the Board of Education are not considered separate, specific offices; candidates run at large. A separate petition, with the name and residence of the candidate, shall be required to nominate a candidate. The petition must be duly signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the district or 2% of the voters who voted in the 2025 annual election (74 qualified voters), whichever is greater, as in accordance with law, and stating the residence of each signer. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that each person entitled to vote must register. The following persons shall be eligible to vote: All persons who shall have presented themselves personally for registration in accordance with section two thousand fourteen of the Education Law and all persons who shall have been previously duly registered for an annual or special meeting or election, who are qualified to vote and who shall have voted at any annual or special meeting or election held or conducted during the four (4) calendar years (2022-2025) and who are not disqualified from voting for any reason set forth in New York State Election Law Section 5-106. In addition, all persons who are registered to vote pursuant to Article 5 of Election Law of the State of New York shall be eligible to vote. The Board of Registration will meet during the election held in the District on May 19, 2026 at the four locations listed above where the Annual Meeting and Election is held for the purpose of preparing a register for meetings or elections held subsequent to such Annual Meetings or Elections.
