Notice of Completion of Tentative Assessment Roll

Pursuant to Section 506 and 526 of the RPTL

Grievance Day Set for May 26, 2026




NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Assessor for the City of Newburgh, County of Orange has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the year 2026 and a copy is in the Assessor’s Office, 1 st floor City Hall, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, New York, where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until May 26, 2026. The Tentative Assessment Roll will also be available online at the City of Newburgh’s website: www.cityofnewburgh-ny.gov .




The Assessment Roll may be examined at the Assessor’s office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment.




The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Activity Center, 401 Washington Street, Newburgh, New York, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the written application of any person believing themselves to be aggrieved. Application form (RP-524) to file a grievance is available at the office of the City Assessor or online at the City website or www.tax.ny.gov .
