Notice of Public Hearing Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board Legal Notice NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board on May 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. This meeting will include two applications involving three parcels. The first application, submitted by Hudson Valley Credit Union (Applicant), Banta Properties Inc (Owner), and Poughkeepsie Dev LLC (Owner), is seeking site plan review and architectural review for the redevelopment of two (2) parcels. The applicant proposes to demolish the existing restaurant building located at 842 Main Street and construct a new +/- 4,665 square foot credit union building in its place. The proposal also includes the construction and placement of three (3) drive-up Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) at 836-840 Main Street. The ITM parcel will be accessed via a dedicated ingress-only driveway on Fairmont Avenue with traffic exiting via a connection to the adjacent parcel at 535 Haight Avenue. This proposal results in the loss of two (2) parking spaces from 535 Haight Avenue. Said parking spaces to be relocated to 836-840 Main Street for use as employee parking. This application involves tax lot numbers 6161-08-930788; 6161-08-905797; and 6161-08-894787, located respectively at 842 Main Street, 836-840 Main Street, and 535 Haight Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. The second application, submitted by Poughkeepsie Dev LLC (Applicant and Owner), is seeking amended site plan review for the creation of an access drive for the adjacent parcel, 836-840 Main Street, with one-way access from said adjacent parcel through 535 Haight Avenue. This proposal results in the loss of two (2) parking spaces from 535 Haight Avenue. Said parking spaces to be relocated to 836-840 Main Street for use as employee parking. This application involves tax lot numbers 6161-08-905797 and 6161-08-894787, located respectively at 836-840 Main Street and 535 Haight Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. All parcels are located in the Arlington Town Center (ATC) Zoning District. During the public hearing, all who wish to speak will be heard.
