YATES COUNTY ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID ADVERTISEMENT - NOTICE TO BIDDERS YATES COUNTY VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE REPLACEMENT PROJECT AT YATES COUNTY BUILDINGS YATES COUNTY PENN YAN, NEW YORK Sealed proposals for the replacement of Yates County Variable Frequency Drive Replacement Project will be received at the Yates County Highway Office, Attention Joe Reed, located at 939 State Route 14A, Penn Yan, New York 14527 until 10:00 AM, local time, on March 24, 2026, and there, at said office, at said time, opened and read aloud. This project generally consists of removing 18 existing variable frequency drives and replacing them with a new VFD, with an alternate to add 4 new drives. Bidders are advised that this contract will require the contractor and subcontractors to pay prevailing wage rates as a minimum in accordance with the current State Wage Rate Schedules. The Contract Documents (consisting of the Advertisement, the Proposal, the Contract Form, and the Specifications) may be obtained by contacting Joe Reed at joe.reed@yatescountyny.gov or visiting the Yates County Web site under Doing Business then go to Bid Postings and Results. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum proposal price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Contract Documents. Questions regarding the bidding of this project shall be directed, in writing only, to Joe Reed, Yates County B&G Superintendent at joe.reed@yatescountyny.gov . Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “YATES COUNTY BUILDING – Variable Frequency Drive Replacement Project” The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the proposal, and to reject any and all proposals.
