Notice is hereby given that the West Hempfield Township Board of Supervisors at its meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the West Hempfield Township Municipal Building, 3476 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, shall consider, and, if appropriate, at that meeting or a subsequent meeting within 60 days of this advertisement, shall enact two ordinances, the captions and summaries of which are as follows: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE WEST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ADD A NEW CHAPTER 81, HOTELS, TO REQUIRE LICENSING AND MAINTENANCE OF HOTELS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP. The proposed ordinance may be summarized as follows. Section 1 amends the West Hempfield Township Code of Ordinances by inserting a new Chapter 81, Hotels, which shall include Sections 81-1, Short Title; 81-2, Legislative Intent; 81-3, Definitions and Word Usage; 81-4, Annual License Required; 81-5, Maintenance of Premises; 81-6, Revocation of Hotel License; 81-7, Appeals; and 81-8, Penalties and Remedies.
