LEGAL NOTICE City of Sumter 600 Justin Lane Sumter, SC  29153   The City of Sumter proposes to modify their pretreatment program, as required by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES).  The City has calculated new headworks limits for their wastewater treatment plant and revised the industrial wastewater discharge permits to reflect the new limits and to reflect the historical data for each industry.   Persons wishing to comment on or object to the new headworks limits and the industry permit modifications are invited to submit in writing within thirty (30) days on the date of this notice to the attention of Mr. Patrick Kelly, Superintendent Wastewater, City of Sumter, PO Box 1449, Sumter, SC  29151; telephone (803) 774-7804.  All comments received within the 30-day period will be considered in the formulation of final determinations regarding the pretreatment program update. All persons submitting written comments will be notified of the final determinations. Additional information on the pretreatment program update is available by writing or calling the City at the above address or telephone number.  Copies of the draft permit must be requested in writing.  Reproduction of documents is $0.25 per page.
