Request for Proposal Roza Irrigation District (RID)has entered into an Intergovernmental Service Agreement (IGSA) with the United States Army to move two lateral canals, Pump 1 High and Pump 1 Low that run through the Yakima Training Center off the base in the East Selah area. Roza is looking for a consulting/engineering firm to help with the program governance, management and feasibility scoping services as outlined under Task Order 1 of the IGSA. The Request for Proposal, Task Order 1 and other associated documents can be found at roza.org. (https://roza.org/project-bid-information/) RID, established in 1920, was created and organized to manage and oversee the delivery of irrigation water and is one of the larger of the irrigation districts within the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Yakima River Basin Project (Yakima Project). Roza serves over 4,000 water users comprising over 72,000 acres of irrigable acreage lying north of the Yakima River in Yakima and Benton Counties, in Central Washington, with a combined crop value nearing an estimated $1.5 billion.
