CITY OF BREANOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN & 2025 WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLANNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the City Council of the City of Brea (“City”) will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the Brea Civic & Cultural Center, 1 Civic Center Circe, Brea, California, to consider the City’s proposed 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (“UWMP”) and 2025 Water Shortage Contingency Plan (“WSCP”) in advance of their proposed adoption.
The public hearing is being held in accordance with the Urban Water Management Planning Act (California Water Code Sections 10610 through 10656; herein referred to as the “Act”). The Act requires “every urban water supplier providing water for municipal purposes to more than 3,000 customers or supplying more than 3,000 acre-feet of water annually” to prepare, adopt, and file a UWMP with the California Department of Water Resources and review and update its UWMP every five years. The purpose of the public hearing will be to solicit public comment prior to adoption of the proposed updated UWMP and WSCP.
Copies of the proposed 2025 UWMP and 2025 WSCP are available for public inspection at either the Water Division of the Department of Public Works of the City of Brea, which is located at 545 N Berry St, Brea CA 92821, or in the Office of the City Clerk, which is located at 1 Civic Center Circle, Brea CA 92821 during normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It will also be available on the City’s website, cityofbrea.gov
