PUBLIC INVITED TO REVIEW URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN The City of Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD) is preparing its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (Plan) update in accordance with State Water Code Sections 10610 through 10657 of the Urban Water Management Planning Act. The UWMP is drafted every five years to assess future water demand, evaluate the ability to meet that demand under various conditions, plan for drought response, and promote efficient water use and conservation. LBPUD customers are invited to review the draft Plan for comments before the Plan is finalized in June 2026. Draft copies of the Plan will be available for public review and comments from Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to Thursday, June 4, 2026. The Administration building is conveniently located near four Long Beach Transit Bus routes: 21, 23, 71, and 131. A public hearing on the Plan will be held at the Long Beach Utilities Department's Administration Building. This hearing will be conducted by the Board of Utilities Commissioners in June 2026.
