PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE CITY'S LIGHTING DISTRICT DISTRICTS FOR FY 202627 AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING The City Council of the City of Oceanside has set a public hearing on June 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM or as soon thereafter as possible, declaring its intent to levy and collect assessments for Fiscal Year 202627 for the Oceanside Lighting District, Assessment District No. 21991 as further listed below. The hearing will take place in the City Council Chambers located at 300 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, California. The Oceanside Lighting District, Assessment District No. 21991 (District) was formed in 1991 under the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (the 1972 Act). The 1972 Act requires the annual renewal of the District in order to levy and collect assessments for the ensuing fiscal year. The purpose of the District and the levy of the assessments provides funds for the operation and maintenance of the streetlights and other improvements on public streets within the District. Any interested person(s) will be heard at this public hearing. Prior to the conclusion of this hearing, anyone may file with the City Clerk a written protest regarding the proposed assessments.
