NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OROVILLE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Oroville PLANNING COMMISSION will hold a public hearing on the projects described below. Said hearing will be held at 6:00 pm on, or a date soon after, Thursday, March 26, 2026, in the City Council Chambers, 1735 Montgomery Street, Oroville, CA. All interested persons are invited to attend or submit comments in writing. 1. Use Permit UP26-04 for Noncommercial Equine Use at 49 Oak Avenue (APN 033-410-002-000). The applicant proposes to allow noncommercial equine use on a two-acre residential parcel located at 49 Oak Avenue within the RL (Large-Lot Residential) zoning district. The project includes construction of a small accessory livestock shelter consisting of two stalls for the personal keeping of one horse and small companion livestock. The proposed use is limited to noncommercial animal keeping and will not include boarding, breeding, riding instruction, or other commercial agricultural activities. 2. Use Permit UP26-05 for Freeway-Oriented Signage at 310 Oroville Dam Boulevard East (APN 035-030-108). The applicant proposes construction of an approximately 85-foot freeway-oriented freestanding sign associated with the new Chick-fil-A restaurant located at 310 Oroville Dam Boulevard East within the C-2 (Intensive Commercial) zoning district. 3. Use Permit UP26-06 for Used Vehicle Sales and U-Haul Rental at 3250 Myers Street and 3200 Myers Street (APN 035-073-009 and 035-073-008). The applicant proposes operation of a used vehicle sales dealership and U-Haul rental service at the properties located at 3250 Myers Street and 3200 Myers Street within the C-2 (Intensive Commercial) zoning district. Used vehicle sales require Planning Commission approval through a Use Permit in this zoning district.
