NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN AND WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLANTHE POMONA CITY COUNCIL does hereby declare and give notice that a public hearing will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 , in the City of Pomona Council Chambers, commencing at 7:00 p.m., to consider the following:A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE 2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLANA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE 2025 WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLANThe City of Pomona (City) will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on May 18, 2026, for the purposes of adopting its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan and its Water Shortage Contingency Plan. The City will consider adoption of the 2025 Urban Water Management Plan and the 2025 Water Shortage Contingency Plan as separate actions.The 2025 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan were prepared pursuant to the “Urban Water Management Planning Act” and the California Water Code. The California Department of Water Resources requires every urban water supplier to prepare and adopt an Urban Water Management Plan, including the Water Shortage Contingency Plan, and periodically update the Urban Water Management Plan at least once every five years, in years ending in six and one.The City invites all interested entities to attend and present their comments. A copy of the Public Draft 2025 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan will be available at the City Clerk’s Office. Please provide written comments by 5:00 p.m. on May 11, 2026, to the City of Pomona, Water Resources Department.
