LEGAL NOTICE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Yolo County Board of Supervisors will consider the adoption of an ordinance at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at 625 Court Street, Room 206, Woodland, California. The proposed ordinance would amend Title 6 of the Yolo County Code to establish a smoke-free multi-unit housing policy. The ordinance was introduced and received its first reading at a prior meeting of the Board of Supervisors, at which time the Board waived further reading of the ordinance and continued the matter to May 26, 2026, for second reading and adoption. The purpose of the ordinance is to protect public health by reducing exposure to secondhand smoke in multi-unit housing and to promote a healthier living environment for County residents. The ordinance is intended to supplement applicable federal, state, and local laws. Persons interested in this matter are encouraged to appear at the public hearing on Tuesday, May, 26, 2026, and to offer comments during the course of the hearing. Those wishing to appear may do so in-person or by submitting written comments by 4:00 p.m. the Monday prior to the public hearing to provide Board Members and interested members of the public a reasonable opportunity to review comments in advance of the meeting. Any written comments received by 4:00 p.m. will be available as an attachment corresponding with the agenda item; the agenda and staff report will be posted at least 72 hours prior to the meeting (www.yolocounty.gov). Written comments should be sent to Clerk of the Board, 625 Court Street, Room 204, Woodland, CA 95695 or emailed to clerkoftheboard@yolocounty.gov.
