NOTICE OF QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING
ORDINANCE NUMBER 2026-26
Notice is hereby given that the Eustis City Commission will conduct a Public Hearing for the first reading of Ordinance Number 2026-26 on May 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. and the second reading on June 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as may be continued at their discretion, in the Commission Room, City Hall, 10 N. Grove St., Eustis, FL. The proposed Ordinance is described as follows:
ORDINANCE NUMBER 2026-26
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF EUSTIS, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 70, PENSIONS AND RETIREMENT, ARTICLE III, CITY OF EUSTIS MUNICIPAL FIREFIGHTERS PENSION AND RETIREMENT SYSTEM, SECTION 70-69, TITLED RETIREMENT AGE OF THE CITYS CODE OF ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. Information on the proposed amendment and copies of Ordinance 2026-26 will be available beginning approximately five working days before the hearing from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Eustis City Hall, 10 N. Grove St., Office of the City Clerk, 10 N. Grove St., or at www.eustis.org. Please contact 352-483-5440 if you have any questions.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purposes, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based (Florida Statutes, 286.0105).
