Notice of Intent to Consider Approval of the Third Amendment to the Marine Terminal Lease and Operating Agreement between Broward County and Crowley Liner Services, Inc.
NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County, Florida, pursuant to the applicable provisions of Chapter 94-429, Laws of Florida, that said Board will hold public hearings on May 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., and June 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Governmental Center East, 115 South Andrews Avenue, Room 422, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, to consider approval of the Third Amendment to the Marine Terminal Lease and Operating Agreement between Broward County and Crowley Liner Services, Inc. The proposed amendment is retroactive to April 30, 2026; redefines the Premises to include two separate phases of land givebacks; defines the Grant-related Permanent Improvements; exercises the first five-year Option Term extending the Agreement through April 30, 2031; unbundles and establishes the rates (rent, Shipmove Rates, and MAG) for the first Option Term; redefines Crowley Cargo; and modifies and/or updates certain other provisions.
Interested parties may appear in person at the above-referenced meetings of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners and be heard with respect to this public hearing item. Members of the public appearing in person must comply with any posted requirements regarding social distancing or facial coverings while in County buildings in compliance with the Broward County administrative policy.
