The Lee County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 in the Board Chambers at 2120 Main St., Ft. Myers, FL, to review the written recommendations made by the Hearing Examiner and make a final decision on the case(s) below.
DCI2025-00003 / Betsy Parkway MPD. Request to rezone 23.96+/- acres from Commercial (C-1A) and Agricultural (AG-2) to Mixed Use Planned Development (MPD). Located at 5041 Pine Island Rd. & 10300 Betsy Pkwy., Pine Island Planning District, Lee County, FL Property Owner's: PI Daze, LLC & Polotto Joseph Tr. If you did not appear before the Hearing Examiner or otherwise become a participant for that case in which you wish to testify, the law does not permit you to address the Board of County Commissioners. Statements before the Board of County Commissioners regarding the zoning case will be strictly limited to testimony presented to the Hearing Examiner, testimony concerning the correctness of the findings of fact or conclusions of law contained in the record, or to allege the discovery of new, relevant information which was not available at the time of the hearing before the Hearing Examiner. Any document that a participant of record intends to submit must have been submitted as part of the record in the hearing before the Hearing Examiner or the document is relevant new evidence that was not known or could not have been reasonably discovered by the participant at the time of the hearing before the Hearing Examiner. All other documents will not be accepted by the Board. To ensure compliance with these regulations, copies of documents not submitted as part of the record before the Hearing Examiner must be provided to the Applicant and County Staff (Bcherry2@leegov.com) not less than 2 days before the date of the zoning hearing. If a participant decides to appeal a decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, a verbatim record of the proceeding will be necessary to appeal a decision made at this hearing.
