VILLAGE OF GOLF NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED ORDINANCE RESTRICTING USE OF ELECTRIC BICYCLES WITHIN THE VILLAGE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE VILLAGE OF GOLF, FLORIDA: TO ALL PARTIES IN INTEREST AND TO ALL IT MAY CONCERN: Please take notice that a Public Hearing and Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 158-2026 will be held virtually (by Zoom) and in person in the Village Council Chambers of the Village Hall Complex, 21 Country Road, Village of Golf, Florida on May 13, 2026 at 9 a.m. before the Village Council, or as soon thereafter as may be heard, on a proposed ordinance to restrict the use of electric bicycles within the Village. ORDINANCE NO. 158-2026 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF GOLF, FLORIDA (VILLAGE), PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF ELECTRIC BICYCLES WITHIN THE VILLAGE BY PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 16 AND ESTABLISHING FINES FOR VIOLATION OF SUCH PROHIBITION; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. This ordinance may be inspected by the public at Village Hall. Attendance at this public hearing may be virtual by Zoom or in person. Zoom meeting instructions are posted on the Village Website. All who are interested are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing and be heard either virtually by Zoom or in person. At this Public Hearing the Village Council will hear all comments and arguments in support or in opposition to the proposed ordinance. Anyone desiring to appeal a decision of the presiding body on matters considered at this meeting or this hearing may need a record of the proceedings. They may need to ensure that a verbatim record is made, including the testimony and comments on which the appeal is based. The Village of Golf does not provide such a record.
