LEGAL NOTICE TO THE TAXPAYERS OF THE POTTERSVILLE FIRE DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Pottersville Fire District, Town of Chester, County of Warren, State of New York, on the 4th of May 2026, subject to permissive referendum as provided for by the General Municipal Law.
An extract of the resolution is as follows:
WHEREAS, thepurchase of One (1) 2026 - 5/6 passenger 4X4 Fleet Truck,in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Labor Law, is deemed necessary to meet the emergency services needs of the residents of the POTTERSVILLE FIRE DISTRICT,and
IT IS RESOLVEDthat pursuant to the laws and regulations applicable, and in particular Section 6-g of the General Municipal Law, that thepurchase of One (1) 2026 - 5/6 passenger 4X4 Fleet Truck, be purchased and that the cost and expenses for thepurchase of One (1) 2026 - 5/6 passenger 4X4 Fleet Truck,shall be expended from the 2026 Annual Budget upon authorization of the Board of Fire Commissioners, at the maximum estimated cost of $50,000.00.
This resolution shall not take effect until thirty (30) days unless in the meanwhile a permissive referendum as provided by the General Municipal Law is required to be held.
