NOTICE OF THE COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL

(Pursuant to Section 506 & 512 of the Real Property Tax Law) (Section 3-3.0 Erie County Tax Act, As Amended) Hearing of Complaints

NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessor for the Town of Amherst in the County of Erie, State of New York has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year. A copy thereof is available at the Office of the Assessor at 5583 Main St., Williamsville, NY 14221 or can be viewed at the Town of Amherst Internet web address - www.amherst.ny.us, where it may be seen and examined by any person interested therein. The Tentative Roll will be open and available to the public at the Assessor's office weekdays, beginning May 4, 2026 until May 26, 2026 from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Additional hours will be available on Thursday May 14, 2026 from 6:00PM- 8:00PM or Saturday May 16, 2026 from 8:00AM-12:00PM. Both of these times are by appointment only.

The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The hours will be 1PM - 5:00PM and 6:00PM - 8:00PM to examine all grievances and complaints. Complaints with respect to assessment may be filed now with the Assessor or be given physically to the Board of Assessment Review by Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 8:00 PM.

While appointments are not required, they are highly advised. To schedule an appointment for a hearing with the Board of Assessment Review on May 26, 2026, please call 631-7038 between May 4, 2026 and May 26, 2026.
