PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: 12 a.m. 5/1 – 11:59 p.m. 6/30/26 Short-term plan to provide safe water: Spokane International Airport PFAS site Facility Site ID No. 6332493 Cleanup Site ID No. 16774 The Washington Department of Ecology invites you to comment on the Short-term Interim Action Work Plan. Ecology is requiring Spokane International Airport, the City of Spokane, and Spokane County to provide safe water to private wells with PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) above drinking water standards in the affected area north and east of the airport. This plan details how they propose to supply one pitcher and one countertop filter to everyone in the affected area, regardless of sampling results. In addition, they are providing two food-grade, 5-gallon bottles and access to the fill station at 4821 W. Garden Springs Road. They are offering PFAS testing to all private wells in the affected area. PUBLIC MEETING Please join Ecology for a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at the Shriners Event Center, 7217 W.
