NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Sections 65090 and 65091 (Planning and Zoning Law) of the Government Code: the City of South Lake Tahoe City Council will conduct a public hearing on March 10, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Council Chambers, 1901 Lisa Maloff Way, South Lake Tahoe Airport, to consider the following:
• Closeout of Community Development Block Grant Program Coronavirus Response Funding for Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless Bear's Den Inn Rehabilitation
Summary: On March 27, 2020, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act in response to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) published a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CDBG-CV2 and 3) funds. The CBDG-CV2 and 3 grant program for the Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless Bear’s Den Inn Rehabilitation will close on March 31, 2026. HCD requires closeout activities be noticed and presented at a public hearing. (Jessica Wackenhut Lomeli, jwackenhut@cityofslt.gov)
Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and present written testimony or speak in favor or against the project proposal. Pursuant to Government Code Section 65009(b)(2), if you challenge the above application in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues, you, or someone else, raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the South Lake Tahoe City Council at, or prior to, the public hearing.
