REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
TO
ESTABLISH A POOL OF PREQUALIFIED DESIGN PROFESSIONALS TO PROVIDE
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR A FIVE-YEAR TERM
South Broward Hospital District d/b/a Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) is seeking to establish a pool of qualified healthcare general contracting firms licensed to work in the State of Florida, with offices located within Broward, Palm Beach or Miami-Dade County, that would be interested in establishing qualifications and eligibility to submit bids under the terms of a continuing (5) five-year contract to provide on-going general contracting services for individual healthcare related construction and building renovation projects (which may include, without limitation, hospital, nursing home, medical offices, etc.) with construction costs in accordance to Florida Statue per 287.055
The approved Design Professionals may be selected to provide professional architectural, engineering, planning, interior design, and related consulting services for individual projects at Memorial Healthcare System facilities. Services may include, but are not limited to, planning, programming, feasibility studies, design, permitting support, preparation of construction documents, bidding and procurement support, construction administration, and related professional services for new Construction, repairs, renovations, expansions, and infrastructure improvements. Projects may include work in one or more of the following facility or project categories: hospital new Construction, ICU/PICU, medical-surgical units, specialized clinical units, labor and delivery, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, interventional imaging, laboratories, hospital support services, pharmacy and cleanroom areas, cancer and radiotherapy services, emergency departments and freestanding emergency departments, behavioral health, urgent care and primary care, ambulatory surgery centers, medical offices and clinics, interior design projects, and planning studies. Work may also include associated improvements and infrastructure required or related thereto, including civil and sitework, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety, utilities, landscaping, lighting, walkways, pedestrian bridges, parking, central energy systems, medical gas delivery systems, building automation, low voltage and communications systems, security and access control systems, and interior design upgrades. Individual projects may include renovations, expansions, or new construction involving existing or new MHS facilities and structures.

Proposer shall not contact any other MHS staff for information relating to this RFQ. All requests must contain the Title of RFQ, Proposers name, name of Proposers contact person, address, phone number, as well as a clear and concise question, and references to specific points within this RFQ. Answers to Proposer inquiries will be distributed in writing to all Proposers if it is determined that this clarification is required. Any verbal statements regarding this RFQ may not be relied upon.
Any proposals received after the time and date specified will not be considered. The responsibility for submitting a proposal before the stated time and date is solely and strictly that of the Bidder. MHS is not responsible for any delay, late or mis-delivered proposals, no matter the cause.
MHS fully reserves the right to modify the scope of this RFQ including the scope of services. Further, MHS reserves to waive any informalities and technicalities, reject all proposals, solicit and re-advertise for new proposals, or to abandon the RFQ in its entirety.
